Brompton S6R C Line 6 Speed Folding NANO electric assist bicycle - Hardly Used

This is a 2013 Brompton S6R C Line 6-speed folding bicycle with a factory-fitted Nano electric assist kit, finished in racing green and black. It's a British-made steel frame folding bike that's barely been ridden, remaining in excellent condition throughout with only light cosmetic marks from occasional use. The bike comes with the original owner's manual and documentation from Nano Bikes, who carried out the electric conversion from new.

The Nano electric system uses a pedal sensor that activates the motorised front wheel as soon as you start pedalling, cutting out automatically when you stop. There are three power levels to choose from, and four battery segment indicators on the display so you can see how much charge remains. A safety feature on the rear brake lever cuts the motor if you pull the brake while still pedalling. The 36V Macallister battery charges via the supplied 13A mains charger, and the beauty of the Nano system is that batteries can be swapped or upgraded through their Leamington Spa workshop, which also offers excellent after-sales support and can supply various 3D-printed adapters to fit different power tool batteries if needed.

Mechanically, everything is in excellent working order. Both Brompton branded tyres have new deep tread with visible rubber centre lines, and the brake pads are fresh. The brakes are smooth and sharp, while the 3-speed Sturmey Archer BWR hub gear and 2-speed derailleur work together seamlessly using Brompton's familiar gear shifters. The bike has just been fully checked over and adjusted for the new owner.

The package includes a rear luggage rack with bungee straps, an Ortlieb Mini O bag containing the 36V Macallister battery and adapter, the mains charger, integral lights powered by the electric system, a Brompton luggage block fitted to the frame, a frame-fitted tyre inflator pump, reflectors all round, and an integral Ping bell. The higher handlebar stem (H spec) gives a more upright riding position than standard Brompton geometry.

The bike is available for collection from Crowborough TN6, or can be sent free to UK mainland addresses folded in a padded box. Local collection from a train station within an hour of central London is also possible.
