This rare May 2013 built Brompton S2L C line Urban Low model comes in Red and remains in excellent lightly used clean condition throughout. This is a fair weather, light leisure used Brompton not a hard commuted example!.

The main advantage with the S2L over the 3 & 6 speed models is a noticeable weight saving without the heavier hub gearing and components using only a lightweight wheel/hub/spikes with 2 speed derailleur instead. The 54T chainring can also easily be swapped for a 50T for easier getaway or inclines due to the spider chain set.

Mechanically, all is in excellent working order as you would expect from any of my used Bromptons, having been fully cleaned, checked over/adjusted where necessary ready for the new owner.

The wheel rims remain both flat and shiny silver showing no signs of any significant wear, along with both the Brompton branded tyres which have almost new tread remaining, same lack of heavy wear to all four brake pads, saddle & rubber grips.

Both the Brompton pedals are both smooth with no heavy wear or play in the bearings.

As with any used folding bicycle there will always be some minor cosmetic surface marks/scratches from unfolding and storage and to rear triangle frame from folded pedal clashing with the frame whilst folding/unfolding all to be expected on any used folding bike.

I have carefully touched any obvious paint chips/marks mainly to the lower rear triangle frame from the folded pedal flashing.

The brakes are both smooth & sharp, with both gears shifting smoothly up and down.

Being a 2013 model this Brompton comes with most of the later upgraded specification including:

Standard 54T interchangeable alloy Spider Chainset.

Brompton dual pivot brake calipers with black logo levers.

Frame latch kit to hold bike together when lifting it in the riding position.

There are only the odd marks to the matt silver crank arms, handlebars and the pedals have light marks to both ends.

The upper surface of rear mudguard has the usual fine surface marks from being folding outside on uneven surfaces. There are no splits/damage to the mudguards only minor marks.
