Brompton M6L Folding 6 Speed Bike, Frame Bag, Useful Extras

These are really great little bikes, easy enough to carry or roll, and excellent for taking on public transport and/or keeping in a home with very little spare spce.

This is my second, and IMHO the 6 speed is a bit of a sweet-spot in the Brompton range in that the gear ratios get broken down into something more useable, but with very little weight addition for the improved functionality.

Light usage, some minor scuffs as a result, small repaired nick at the back of the seat. This was originally bought by a police officer for his retirement (original shop buyer’s pack included) but he simply didn’t use it then as time passed he didn’t want to use it, so my brother bought it off him but found after a lifetme of cycling that he was limited to walking everywhere due to worsening balance issues and needing to use a stick, then on his passing it came to me. I used it for about six months but prefer the ride of my 20 inch wheel folder which doesn’t need to go on public transport.

Comes with a Black Brompton ‘O’ bag (created specifically by Ortlieb for Bromptons) with a built in fitting for attaching to the Brompton front carrier block system. The bag is attached via a frame that latches securely onto a tapered block, I’ve added a little bright green pull so it’s easier to find in the dark. It takes a second to attach or release your bag and the load is attached directly to the main frame – with little effect on steering. Ideal for carrying your laptop and lunch. The Brompton O bag comes with the finish and functionality you would expect from Ortlieb, and comes supplied with a shoulder strap. (No rainproof cover is supplied as it is not necessary).
Capacity: 20 litres (approx) + 2 side pockets (possibly 750ml – 1L each? will definitely hold a sports bottle)
