This One mature owned from new late 1997 (97-11 & 97-12 hub date stamp) built Brompton M3L folding bicycle remains in what can only be described as amazing timewarp, all original condition and only seen a few short leisure rides when bought new to test it out and then stored away in the garage, folded until now.

This example would make a great addition to any Brompton collection or anyone looking for one of the best classic mk2 models available to ride.

Rare to find a late mk2 still looking bright and having ALL of its original parts let alone a matching pair, including :

The original Gloss paint finish still looks much like it did brand new and excellent throughout and with only a few light scratches/marks from storage, but certainly nothing unsightly.

Both wheel rims remain shiny silver with the bonus of having stainless steel spokes plus the original Brompton branded Yellow label tyres which both still have their bobbles & centrelines clearly visible, fully inflated with new tread no splits or perishing.

The bike is in fully functional excellent working order, having smooth working Caliper brakes (dual caliper front), with the Sturmey Archer 3 speed hub gear mechanism shifting smoothly between all 3 gears using the tried and tested SA thumb type shifter.

The bike has been fully cleaned/adjusted checked over and even still has it’s original silver chain / running gear which is all in unworn, excellent smooth running order not rusted/seized up all ready for use.

The original silver plastic mudguards are in excellent undamaged condition which can be seen in the various pictures of front & rear only the smallest amount of whitening discolouration to the very extremities of front and rear blades.

The original lightweight foam saddle is still perfectly sound or easily swapped over for any regular type Gel bicycle saddle with the bracket.
