Brompton Folding Bike, Grade B, Stock Clearance
£501.59 GBP
This is a Brompton folding bike in Grade B condition, cleared from stock and ready to ride. It's a British-made steel frame folding bicycle with 16-inch wheels, designed to collapse down to a compact size that fits in tight spaces—under a desk, in a cupboard, or in train luggage racks. The lateral fold mechanism is straightforward once you've done it a couple of times, and the bike stays genuinely portable without being unwieldy to carry.
The bike runs 5-speed hub gears, which keep things simple and low-maintenance. Hub gears don't need derailleur adjustments and work well for urban stop-start riding and modest hills. Stopping power comes from side-pull caliper brakes, which are effective and reliable for city cycling speeds. The chain will be reattached and ready to ride when it arrives, so there's nothing to set up before you can take it out.
For daily commuting or anyone who needs to fold a bike away regularly, this Brompton works well. The compact size and weight make it genuinely practical for people mixing cycling with public transport, or storing a bike in a small flat. If you're looking at longer recreational rides or something faster and more responsive, a full-size bike might suit you better, but for urban journeys and portability, this does the job properly.
The bike is available for UK delivery via Royal Mail, or you can collect it in person from East End Cycles near Whitechapel station in London, postcode E1 4UN.
