A very reluctant sale of my baby Brompton. She’s a beauty. I’m selling her to fund a large touring bike so she simply has to go to a new home.

I’ve had so much fun with her over the years, she’s a great talking point and if you’ve ridden a Brompton you’ll know it can’t help put a smile on your face!!! It’s the strangest thing, people either look confused when you ride by or grin from ear to ear and want to know all about it!

She’s a 2005 model, 6 gear and had been modified to use the 42 tooth chainring to make much less work of the hills - that’s a must in the Scottish Highlands, I can tell you. It’s an excellent gearing ratio that gets the most out of these bikes in my opinion. She shifts beautifully.

The condition is absolutely brilliant. She has always been well maintained and cherished. Only signs of wear are on the rear rack which could be sprayed up or removed for a new rack - I like her the way she is and the rack has been fully functional with a rack bag.

The Bike is black with, chromed seat post, M bar handlebar set up suiting riders of various height. I’m 5’8 and it’s perfect for me though the Brompton website will tell you all about the reach and height measurements that it suits. They know much more than me!! It suits a much shorter and much taller rider than me - that’s as technical as I’m getting!

This 6-speed bike features 16-inch tubular tyres, brand new Continental tires - with nice tan side walls - fancy lol- and inner tubes just fitted.

Recently serviced, calliper brakes, and a concealed hub gear system for easy gear changes.

Made from durable steel, in a classic design.

With its compact design and mudguards, this Brompton bike is perfect for unisex adults looking for a reliable and stylish mode of transportation, trains, planes and automobiles…even kayaks and canoes!!

If you fancy a Brompton and have time to give it you’ll be hard pressed to find one in as good condition as this.
