Brompton Folding Bike 4 Speed C Line Cloud Blue

The Brompton Folding Bike 4 Speed C Line is a British-made steel folding bike designed for urban commuting and everyday city riding. Built around Brompton's characteristic compact fold, it reduces down small enough to stow under a desk, in a train luggage rack, or the boot of a car. The steel frame gives the bike a solid, reassuring feel underfoot, and the lateral fold mechanism becomes intuitive after a few tries.

The 16-inch tubular tyres keep the bike nimble in traffic and contribute to how small it folds, though they do mean you'll need to work a bit harder to maintain momentum on longer flat sections compared to larger wheels. The 4-speed hub gears with thumb shifter handle the rolling demands of city riding without fuss, letting you find a comfortable cadence whether you're on flat ground or tackling gentle inclines. Side-pull caliper brakes provide reliable stopping power in urban conditions, and they're straightforward to maintain and adjust yourself.

The flat handlebar and upright riding position give good visibility through traffic, and the Cloud Blue colour sits somewhere between practical and distinctive. Day to day, this is a bike that gets on with the job of moving you around the city without demanding much attention. It suits commuters who mix cycling with public transport, anyone working in a space-constrained office or flat, or riders who value simplicity and British engineering over speed or sportiness.
