Brompton C Line M3L Raw lacquer

This is a Brompton C Line M3L folding bike finished in raw lacquer, a British-made steel folder built for commuting and urban riding. The 3-speed Sturmey Archer hub gear handles typical city terrain without fuss, and the 16-inch wheels keep the bike compact when folded down for storage or transport. The raw lacquer finish gives it a distinctive look compared to the standard painted versions, with a natural steel appearance that develops character over time.

The bike comes equipped with wooden mudguards and a leather mudflap on the front, which add practical weather protection and a touch of traditional Brompton character. It also features a rear wheel extender with skateboard-style wheels, a detail that improves balance and handling when the bike is folded. This means it rolls more smoothly and sits more stably on the ground during storage, rather than tipping or shifting around. The rear mudguard has double wheels rather than a single wheel, which works with the extender to keep everything steady.

For comfort and grip, it's fitted with Ergon GP3 Evo BioKork grips, which provide good control and feel natural in the hand during regular commuting. Lighting comes from a Cateye rear light with removable mounting and multiple flashing modes as well as a steady setting, making the bike visible in low light. The front has a Cateye mounting bracket with a rubber pad underneath to protect the mudguard and reduce vibration from the light.

The bike includes an original Brompton saddle, unused and in the box, alongside a comfort or women's saddle that was added for lighter use. This Brompton was used for regular railway station commuting and spent much of its time underneath a desk, so it's been treated as a daily workhorse rather than a weekend toy.
