Brompton C-Line Explore Mid bar Folding Bike Fire Coral

£1,249.00 GBP

The Brompton C-Line Explore Mid Bar is a British-made steel folding bike built in London since 1975. Each frame is hand-brazed by skilled craftspeople at Brompton's factory, with every brazer trained for 18 months and signing off their work with a personal stamp. This approach means every bike is tough and built to last, whether you're commuting daily or planning something more ambitious. The bike folds down to 645mm high by 585mm wide by 270mm deep, small enough to carry on trains or store in tight spaces, and weighs around 12.2kg when folded.

This is the Explore version, which means it comes with 6 gears—a sensible spread for handling different terrain and gradients without overcomplicating things. The mid-bar handlebar (M-type) sits between Brompton's upright and drop options, offering a balanced riding position that works for both urban riding and longer journeys. The frame is steel throughout, chosen for its durability and smooth ride quality rather than being the lightest option available. The bike rolls on Schwalbe Marathon Racer tyres, which are built for dependability rather than speed, and the 16-inch wheels are standard for Brompton's compact design.

Weather protection comes as standard with the included mudguards, keeping spray off your clothes on wet commutes. There's a front carrier block fitted to the frame for attaching bags, making it practical for carrying gear without needing a rack. The Brompton standard saddle comes as fitted, though it can be upgraded to a Brooks B17 if you prefer leather. The seatpost is standard specification, with an extended post available if needed for taller riders.

This particular bike is an ex-display model in excellent condition, unridden and still in original packaging. It's been freshly checked over in the workshop and is ready to ship via TNT Next Day service on UK mainland weekdays. Originally priced at £1,460, it comes finished in Fire Coral with black frame and extremities.
