The Brompton C Line 6-speed is a British-made steel folding bike designed for commuters and urban cyclists who need genuine portability without sacrificing everyday usability. This 2025 model folds down to 585mm wide by 565mm tall and 270mm deep, making it small enough to fit under a desk, into a train luggage rack, or the boot of a car. Built entirely from steel, the frame is robust and durable, with Brompton's characteristic lateral fold that becomes intuitive after a few uses.

The M-type handlebars are the classic Brompton shape that most riders find comfortable for mixed urban riding, and they use lock-on grips held in place with an allen bolt rather than glue, so you can replace them easily if needed. The bike comes finished in black with silver decals, giving it a clean, no-fuss appearance. At the front, there's a carrier block included as standard, which lets you attach one of Brompton's range of bags without affecting the bike's handling the way handlebar-mounted luggage does.

The gearing uses a 6-speed Brompton Wide Ratio internal hub gear in the rear wheel combined with a 2-speed derailleur system, giving you six distinct ratios from a single front chainring. This combination keeps the drivetrain simple and low-maintenance whilst providing enough range for typical urban terrain with some modest hills. The chain uses Brompton's own link design with a powerlink connector, and both pedals fold—the left one tucks away completely, while the right stays fixed for stability when parked.

Practicality is baked in throughout. The bike rolls on 16-inch Schwalbe Marathon tyres with reflective sidewalls and good puncture protection, paired with double-walled rims and 28 spokes for durability. Schrader valves make pumping up straightforward at any petrol station. Front and rear black mudguards mean you're ready for wet weather without needing to add them later. A Zefal pump integrates into the rear frame, so you've got inflation capability built in. The standard seatpost accommodates riders with an inside leg measurement up to 33 inches, and the saddle has a mount point underneath if you want to add a rear light later.

The suspension is a single firm block, equivalent to Brompton's older hard suspension setting, which is adequate for urban riding on typical British streets. Everything about this bike prioritises getting from A to B reliably in the city, then folding away neatly when you reach your destination. The 7-year warranty backs the build quality, and this is an unused, new stock example of a now-discontinued model. Delivery is available worldwide, with international shipping handled carefully in protective packaging.
