brompton bike spokes 14g plain 145 / 146mm silver 28 pieces

This is a pack of 28 Brompton spokes in 14g plain steel, cut to 145/146mm and finished in silver. They're designed to fit the 16-inch wheels found on Brompton folding bikes, the British-made steel frames that fold down to fit under a desk or into a locker. The pack comes unopened and unused—it's simply a case of having bought the wrong size for the job at hand.

Brompton spokes are straightforward components built to the same standards as the rest of the bike. Plain steel spokes are lighter and more affordable than butted alternatives, and they work well for the modest speeds and loads of urban folding bike riding. At 14g, they're slim enough to keep wheel weight down without compromising strength for typical city commuting. The 145/146mm length is specific to Brompton's 16-inch wheel build, so compatibility is exact if you're rebuilding or replacing a wheel on one of their machines.

Whether you're repairing a damaged wheel or building one from scratch, having the right spoke size matters. These are listed at £14 on Brompton's website, making this a straightforward spare part if you need to refresh a wheel or have a stock of replacements on hand.
