BASIS Compact 20in Blue Folding Bike 6-Speed Shimano, Mudguards Kickstand

The BASIS Compact is a 20-inch folding bike built for urban commuting and short journeys where portability matters. The compact frame folds down to fit in a car boot, under a desk, or onto a train, making it practical for anyone mixing cycling with public transport or needing to store a bike in a small space. The blue or black finish is straightforward and durable for daily use.

The bike uses a 6-speed Shimano derailleur system, which handles gentle hills and varying terrain without being complicated to maintain or adjust. Caliper brakes with side-pull actuation are responsive and reliable, offering confident stopping power in urban riding. The 20-inch wheels are small enough to contribute to a compact fold whilst remaining stable enough for steady, predictable handling on city streets and local routes.

Practically speaking, the BASIS Compact comes equipped with mudguards and a kickstand as standard, so you're not buying extras before the bike is genuinely usable. The mudguards keep spray off your clothes and bag, and the kickstand means the bike sits upright when parked without needing to lean it against a wall or railings. This makes it suited to commuters who need a straightforward, no-fuss bike that works out of the box.

The bike works well for shorter urban journeys, shopping trips, and anyone who values the ability to fold the bike away quickly. It's aimed at practical cyclists who prioritise convenience and storage over speed, and it delivers on both counts without unnecessary complication.
