Apollo Tuck Single Speed One Size Compact 14kg Folding Bike - Blue (Scratched)

The Apollo Tuck is a single-speed folding bike designed for compact urban commuting and short trips where portability matters. The alloy frame folds down to 68cm by 82cm by 42cm, making it small enough to store in a flat, office, or take on public transport without dominating your journey. At 14kg, it's a straightforward bike to carry or manoeuvre when folded, though it's worth noting the frame does show some scratches behind the pedal crank area from previous use.

The bike runs a single-speed setup with a 16-tooth freewheel and sealed-bearing bottom bracket, which means minimal maintenance and no gear cables or derailleurs to adjust. The steel rigid forks and steel 31.8mm stem keep the build honest and durable for everyday knocks. The handlebars are steel and 600mm wide, giving a fairly upright riding position suited to urban riding where visibility matters. A black comfort saddle comes fitted, and there are folding pedals on board, which tuck away when you fold the frame.

Braking comes from V-brakes front and rear, which are direct-pull cable brakes offering straightforward stopping power without fuss. The 20-inch wheels are smaller than road bikes, making the Tuck agile in traffic and contributing to the compact fold, though you'll need to push a bit harder to maintain speed on longer flat sections. Steel bolted hubs front and rear are practical and simple to maintain if you ever need to service them.

The frame is fitted with mudguard mounts and pannier mounts, so if you need to add weather protection or carry a bag, you've got the fixing points there. There are no stabilisers, and the rigid setup means it's a proper bike rather than a training tool. This Tuck suits commuters who regularly fold and carry their bike, or anyone needing a second bike that doesn't take up much space at home. The single speed works fine for flat urban routes, but riders tackling significant hills or varied terrain regularly will feel the limitation.
