The Airnimal Chameleon is a folding bike designed for travellers and touring riders who need something genuinely compact without sacrificing capability. With 24-inch wheels and a medium frame, it suits riders from around 5'3" to 5'10", though taller riders can make it work—the bike handles well regardless of whether you're at the smaller or larger end of the size spectrum. The aluminium frame keeps weight reasonable, and the whole thing folds down to a manageable size that's realistic to transport on planes or trains.

This particular Chameleon is fitted with a Shimano Ultegra-105 9-speed drivetrain paired with a triple chainring, giving you genuine range for mixed terrain. Three chainrings and nine sprockets means you've got low gears for loaded climbing and higher ratios for flats—the kind of versatility you actually need when you're touring or doing regular longer rides. The gearing can feel stiff on some Airnimals if the cables aren't routed correctly, but on this example they're set up properly, which means the front derailleur shifts cleanly and everything clicks through without complaint. The rear brake is likewise dialled in, responding with gentle finger pressure the way a rim brake should.

The wheels run Shimano 105 small flange hubs, which are smooth and reliable, with Airnimal's own 24-inch rims in near-new condition. The 25mm Panaracer tyres show some use but have life left in them. A new chain has been fitted, and all cables are fresh and correctly tensioned. The saddle is a new Madison Flus, which is genuinely comfortable for longer rides, and there's a new BX carbon seatpost that adjusts to suit different rider heights. New ITM bars and stem have been installed, and the forks are lightweight carbon. The bike doesn't come with pedals, but there are fixing points for a bottle cage and pannier rack if you want to add touring luggage. Anything that needed doing to get this bike running smoothly has been done—cables sorted, chain replaced, gears set up properly.

This is a functional touring bike that's been looked after and set up correctly. It's the kind of Chameleon that simply works for travelling, whether you're taking it abroad in a proper luggage case or using it for longer UK rides where you want a compact machine that doesn't require constant fettling.
