The Raleigh Design fold-away bike is a compact folding bicycle built around 20-inch wheels, striking a practical balance between portability and everyday riding performance. The frame uses an aero-quality hydroformed aluminium construction with Hiten steel forks, designed to fold down to approximately 82cm x 30cm x 60cm for storage or transport. At 12.9kg, it's light enough to carry but substantial enough to feel stable on the road, making it suited to commuters who need to combine cycling with public transport or those storing a bike in a flat or caravan.

The double-height seat post is the key to its versatility. The lowest saddle position sits 77cm from the ground, working for riders with an inside leg of around 60cm, while the highest position reaches 106cm for taller riders up to approximately 96cm inside leg. The handlebars adjust across a 120mm range to match the seat height, so you can dial in a comfortable riding position without needing a different bike for each rider. This makes the Raleigh Design practical for families or shared use, where multiple people of different heights might use the same bike.

The drivetrain uses a 6-speed Shimano Tourney derailleur with Revoshift quick gear change and a visual gear indicator, paired with a 52-tooth chainring that allows a relaxed cruising cadence rather than a frenetic spin. The 20-inch double-wall alloy rims run 20 x 1.5 tyres, with v-brakes providing direct stopping power. Wheel reflectors and front and rear reflectors are fitted as standard, alongside a bell and folding pedals that tuck in when the bike is stored. The fold mechanism uses a safety lock on the frame and a double lock on the handlebars to keep everything secure during transport.

There's a robust rear carry frame with a sprung parcel retainer, so you can attach a bag or small load without it shifting around. The folded size and weight make this bike practical for regular commuting, occasional weekend rides, or keeping in a camper van for when you need mobility without the commitment of a full-size bicycle.
