2019 Brompton M3L folding bicycle C Line Equivalent in Tempest Blue - Used

This is a 2019 Brompton M3L folding bike in satin Tempest Blue, built in April that year and finished to the later C line specification. It's a British-made steel frame with the compact lateral fold that Brompton is known for, and this example has been well looked after with light use throughout its life. The bike has been fully checked over and adjusted ready for the new owner, so mechanically everything is in excellent working order.

The tyres are Schwalbe Marathon on the front and Racer on the rear, both with deep tread remaining and the rear newly fitted. All four brake pads show minimal wear, and the saddle and grips are original. The aluminium wheel rims stay flat and true with only the expected braking marks from regular use. The brakes are smooth and sharp, whilst all three hub gears shift cleanly up and down without hesitation.

As a 2019 model, this Brompton comes with the upgraded specification that includes a 50T interchangeable alloy spider chainset, Brompton black dual pivot brake calipers with black logo levers, and a frame latch kit to hold the bike together when lifting it in the riding position. The Sturmey Archer BSR alloy hub gear works with the later underbar Brompton gear shifter. The bike is fitted with a Brompton frame luggage block, reflectors all round, and an integral Ping bell. It also comes with a Brompton frame pump, which is dented but still works.

Surface marks and scratches are present as you'd expect from a folding bike that's been used and stored regularly. The worst scratches have been touched in with matched RAL paint. Both the matt silver handlebars show marks, and the crank arms and pedals have scuffs at both ends. The upper surface of the rear mudguard carries the usual surface scratches from regular folding on uneven surfaces outdoors, but all of this is cosmetic and doesn't affect how the bike rides or performs.
