This is a pair of Carrera Crossfire folding bikes with pedal assistance, each coming with its own storage bag. They're compact folding bikes built around lightweight aluminium frames that fold down to 93cm long, 40cm wide, and 74cm high, making them practical for storage or carrying on trains and buses. The 20-inch double-wall alloy rims and 8-speed derailleur gears are designed for steady commuting work, while the side-pull caliper brakes provide reliable stopping power in urban riding.
The electric assistance comes with three power levels that you can dial up or down depending on what you need, which genuinely makes climbing hills less of a slog on the daily commute. One bike has a brand new power unit and charger in full working order. The other has a strong, functioning power unit but produces a slight whine when the assistance engages. Both bikes will travel between 25 and 30 miles on a full charge, and take around 4 to 5 hours to recharge. The power units are removable, so you can take them off if you need to lighten the load or charge separately from the frame.
Each bike comes with its carry bag, instruction manuals, chargers, and power unit release keys, so you have everything needed to get going straight away. These bikes originally retailed at around £1,000 each and have seen light use, having been ridden mainly for sightseeing and casual travel rather than heavy commuting. They're located in the Roade area of Northampton and available for collection.
