It's a Raleigh 20 shopper bike with a Sturmey Archer AW 3 speed hub dated August 1973. The bike needs a complete rebuild but will make a characterful runaround when finished. I have four shopper bikes already or I'd give this one a home myself.
Comes with the fairly rare matching racktop bag. Annoyingly, the plastic tray it sits in is cracked but it should glue back together. Also comes with the "R" logo nuts for the cotterpins and wheelnuts, although it will need new cotterpins because I mashed one trying to extract it. But it needs a complete rebuild anyway. The tyres are perished but are a fairly standard 451 size so it's easy to find new ones.
I'll list this for two weeks and if it hasn't sold by then, I'll take it home and rebuild it myself. So please buy it and save me cluttering up my house with yet another ridiculous bike project.
Collection from Ross on Wye only please. I could post it, but it would probably cost about twice what the bike costs so it's not really worth it. But if you decide that you can't live without it and you live in Inverness or somewhere, let me know and I'll sort out a bike box.
