The Cranston S9 is a compact 16-inch folding bike built around a 6061 aluminium alloy frame that keeps the whole machine down to just 9kg. This tri-folding design works well for anyone who needs to carry a bike onto trains, store it in a small flat, or keep it tucked away at the office. The frame uses a full shockproof design to absorb road feedback, and the bike sits at 1.55 metres long when fully extended, making it manageable even when fully unfolded in tight spaces.

The drivetrain uses Shimano 9-speed gearing, which gives you genuine range for urban riding across both flat streets and gentler hills. The 53-tooth hollow crank paired with the 9-speed shifter groupset handles the gearing smoothly, and cable adjustments are straightforward to maintain. A 16×1.25 Kojak tyre wraps around straight-pull spoke wheels with 20mm rim height, designed to roll efficiently without eating up battery on your commute. The whole wheelset uses aluminium construction front and rear, keeping rotational weight down and supporting the bike's lightweight mission.

Stopping power comes from dual V-brakes, which offer reliable modulation for city speeds and mixed-terrain commuting. The bike handles a maximum load capacity of 90kg, leaving room for you and a modest pannier if you need to carry kit. Both pedals fold inward as part of the tri-fold mechanism, and the bilateral folding design means they tuck away neatly without catching. An aluminium easywheel keeps the bike stable when folded, so it rolls smoothly without tipping.

The saddle uses a 3D carbon design, and the seatpost is carbon fibre with a 31.8mm diameter for a secure fit. The handlebar comes as a carbon fibre S-bar, with an M-bar option included in the package. A carbon fibre seatpost helps keep weight down without sacrificing stiffness. The front hub runs 2 bearings whilst the rear uses 6 bearings for a smoother ride quality and longer service intervals. The bike has no fork suspension, instead relying on the frame design and tyre volume to absorb vibration, which keeps things simple and light.

This folding bike is aimed at street commuting, whether that's a 3km dash across town or mixing cycling with bus and train journeys. The package includes a carbon fibre M-bar handlebar and a complete gear and shifter cable set as standard. The grey aluminium finish is practical and understated, and the bike feels equally at home propped against an office wall or loaded into a bike rack.
